The Magic of Color
|
Color has the magical ability to produce thoughts, desires and
assorted emotions in us. When the leaves on the trees start to turn
orange, red and brown, we know that Autumn is on the way. Lime colored
leaves and grasses show up in the spring and fill us with expectation.
A gray, overcast sky chills us and may produce forboding feelings in
us. The yellow/gold of the sun cheers and warms us and the silvery,
full moon reflecting off of a body of water can produce intense
feelings of love.
We use colors to influence our emotions and comfort level. In our
homes we know that blue and green makes for a calm and soothing room.
Oranges and yellows are cheerful and lively, while red is often
associated with sensualilty. We know intuitively what colors look best
on us and tend to enhance our appearance with those colors when we
want to attract the opposite sex or to vibrate with personal power.
This is magic at it's most elementary level.
Colors are powerful. They are associated with elemental energy and we
can use color to assist us in accomplishing our goals. The following
colors are appropriate for using in the creation of amulets to embue
them with the qualities associated with the color. These colors can
also be used in selecting candles for rituals.

| White: Represents all colors - can be used for
all amulets, especially good for focus and protective amulets |
The following colors are associated with the different astrological
signs. It is appropriate to use a candle in the color of the need
(chart 1) as well as an astrological candle of the intended receiver
of the work
(Chart 2).
